About Me
My background
I started playing guitar when I was four years old. I was very intrigued when I first held a guitar in my hands. From that point forward I knew I wanted to be a musician. At the age of twelve, I joined my first band which mainly stayed in our practice room. Although we didn't play very many venues, it was a start to my music career. I then left the group to join another band called "Walking Fire" and played my very first bar venue at the age of thirteen. After a couple months of practicing, the drummer and I began our own group called "System Annihilation". This group saw much success in its four year time span. We opened up for many headlining bands at the Whiskey a Go Go in Hollywood. In the year 2016 the group had come to an end. I have also performed as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for a Metallica tribute group called "Masters of Puppets". With this group, I had the opportunity to travel to different states to play some amazing venues as well as meet some great people as well. Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the group was no longer performing and I decided to leave the group. Who I am
My name is RJ and I am now a solo artist/performer working on building my very own fanbase to bring my own personal music out to the world! I personally write, produce, mix, and master all of my own music.
Things I love
personally, I love cars! Anything that has wheels and a motor is definitely right up my ally. in the picture above, you can see my very first truck; a 4X4 1983 Ford Ranger with a 2.8L V6 engine and a 5-Speed manual transmission. I have torn this thing apart and put back together so many times and tried my best to give it as much TLC as I can. Whenever something breaks, you learn how parts work as you fix it.
